- For Spring Driven Rollers: Similar steps, with additional steps to handle the wire guard and grommet.
Awning Rail LEDs
Access LED strip at the awning rail, disconnect power, mark LED strip ends, slide out the old strip, clean the slot, slide in the new strip, and cut to length.
Canopy Wire Harness Replacement
Extend awning, remove split grommet, disconnect and remove old harness, attach new harness, route through canopy hem, and connect to the power source and switch.
RGB LED Lights
- Replacement: Similar to white LED replacement, with additional steps for handling the IR sensor.
- IR Receiver Replacement: Extend awning, disconnect power, remove the old receiver, attach strings to the new receiver, and reinstall.
Switch Installation
Install a single pole switch (required for white LEDs, optional for RGB). Ensure the power line is attached to a 2A circuit breaker or fuse. Cut a hole for the switch, wire it, install an in-line fuse, and secure the switch.
Harness Routing into the Vehicle
Route the power harness into the vehicle for connection to 12Vdc and the control switch, ensuring slack and secure attachment along the awning rail or with motor wires.
