RV Tank Sender Probes Installation and Operating Instructions

For Use With:

Installation Instructions:

1. Choosing the Installation Site:

Select a location for the water gauge where it is feasible to route the sender wiring loom through a wall cavity or cupboard to the gauge.

2. Preparing the Gauge Site:

Cut a rectangular hole behind the gauge location to accommodate the sender probe connector plugs. (Refer to FIG 1 in the original document for visual guidance).

3. Wiring Loom Installation:

Route the wiring loom up to the water gauge location.
Connect the sender probe connector plugs into the back of the gauge.

4. Power Connection:

Connect a 6-15 volt DC power source to the power terminal block on the gauge. Ensure to connect the negative (earth) and positive supply correctly.

5. Mounting the Gauge:

To install the mounting screws, first remove the front cover of the gauge by gently pulling the side wings apart. (See FIG 2 in the original document for visual guidance).
Ensure that the switch button is not obstructed when replacing the cover.
Verify that the heads of the screws do not extend over the edge of the base, as this could prevent the front cover from fitting properly.

Operating Instructions:

Powering On:
Activate the gauge by pressing the power switch. The gauge may take a few seconds to power up after being turned on.

Power Consumption:
The LCD gauge consumes 50mA when powered on. It is recommended to leave the gauge on while the caravan is in use and switch it off when the caravan is stored.

Troubleshooting:

Gauge Not Powering On:
Check the power connection to ensure the 6-15 volt DC supply is correctly connected and operational.
Verify that the sender probe connector plugs are securely connected to the back of the gauge.

Front Cover Issues:
If the front cover does not fit correctly, ensure that the screw heads are not protruding over the base edge and that the switch button is not jammed.
