Important Notes
- Verify product suitability and compatibility with battery manufacturer recommendations.
- Ensure compatibility with lithium battery BMS systems.
- A spark may occur during connection due to capacitors charging.
- Avoid shorting the output when operational to prevent damage.
- Solar panel minimum voltage: 16V, maximum voltage MUST be below 32V.
- Suitable for silicon-based panels including monocrystalline, polycrystalline, and amorphous.
- Voltage settings: Type A for gel/AGM batteries, Type B for lead and lithium batteries, Type C for calcium and lead crystal batteries.
Installation Guide
- Wiring Sequence: Connect in the following order: Ground (BLACK), Main Battery Positive (RED), Solar Panel Positive (WHITE), Ignition (ORANGE), Output (BROWN), and Remote LED (GREEN, optional).
- Wiring and Safety: Use correct gauge and heat-resistant wiring. Avoid installation near fuel lines, sources of heat, or where exposed to rain.
- Mounting: Choose a location with good ventilation, away from flammable fumes, liquids, or materials. Ensure the built-in LED is visible post-installation for operational confirmation.
- External LED Indicator: For visual system status, connect the anode of the external LED to the GREEN wire and the cathode to the vehicle chassis or battery negative.
Basic Wiring Diagram and Connector Guide
- Black: Earth/GND
- Red: 12V Ignition
- Yellow: Main
- Violet: Auxiliary
- Mode Select: Type A (14.4V), Type B (14.6V), Type C (14.8V)
Typical Operation
- Charges the auxiliary battery from the vehicle when the engine runs, detected via the ignition wire.
- Automatically selects Boost 9V or Reduce 9V mode based on vehicle voltage levels.
- Utilizes solar regulator for input below 16V; switches to MPPT mode for efficiency above this threshold.
- Standby mode activates when the vehicle is off and no daylight is available for solar charging.
