Gas Alarm Installation and Operation Guide for Customer Service and Technical Staff

Model Information

Specifications

Installation Instructions

  1. Preparation: Ensure the system supply is turned off before installation to prevent electrical shock or equipment damage.
  2. Mounting Location: Avoid electrical wiring or pipework. For natural gas, install 15-30 cm below the ceiling. For LPG, install 15-30 cm above the floor. Recommended areas include kitchens, garages, or recreational vehicles.
  3. Mounting Bracket: Mark and drill holes for the mounting bracket, insert wall plugs, and screw the bracket to the surface without overtightening.
  4. Wiring: Connect the wires according to the diagram provided in the manual.
  5. Connecting the Transformer: Plug the transformer into a socket outlet. The alarm should sound within 5 seconds and then stop, indicating it is ready for use.

Operating Instructions

Testing the Alarm

Test weekly by releasing gas from a cigarette lighter near the sensor. The alarm should sound, and the red LED should flash.

Maintenance

Regularly clean the unit with a vacuum cleaner to prevent dust buildup, focusing on the front grille and sides.

Troubleshooting

Fault Lamp Activation: Indicates a self-checking routine. If the fault persists, check for extreme temperatures or chemical vapors that may affect the sensor. If the fault indicator remains active, the issue may lie within the device itself.

Replacement Procedure

After approximately 5 years of use, disconnect the power, remove the unit, and replace it with a new detector.

Warranty

The gas alarms are guaranteed for three years from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

Important Safeguards

Installation of the gas alarm is only one step in your safety plan. Ensure electrical circuits are not overloaded and test your gas alarm weekly.
Do not attempt to repair the unit yourself as it will void the warranty.

When Alarm Occurs

  1. Extinguish all naked flames and open windows and doors for ventilation.
  2. Do not operate electrical switches or devices.
  3. If the alarm continues after resetting and the cause is not apparent, vacate the premises and contact the gas supplier or emergency service.

Note: This guide is intended for customer service and technical staff for reference and support purposes. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions and local regulations when installing and operating the gas alarm.
