Pre-Installation Checks:
- Ensure no parts are damaged or deformed during transport.
- Installation is recommended by qualified personnel in compliance with local regulations.
Mounting the Motor:
- Unroll the awning completely before installing the motor.
- Follow the detailed steps provided in the manual for securing the motor to the awning.
Wiring:
- The motor operates at 12V. Do not connect to a different voltage.
- Disconnect the vehicle's battery during installation to work without current.
- Choose the safest and shortest route for the power cable, adjusting its length as necessary.
- Use cable clamps suitable for the power cable's diameter.
- The system must be powered with a line protected by a 12A fuse. The motor comes with a standard fuse to prevent damage. In case of issues, the fuse will trip, disconnecting the circuit. Use only the provided fuse (T 4A L 250V).
Operating Instructions:
Standard Operation:
- Use the Control System key to open or close the awning. Removing your finger from the button stops the movement.
- In case the movement doesn't stop, check the Microswitch (for connection or defects). The lead bar will finish its operation, triggering the protection fuse to safeguard the electrical system.
- Do not insert hands or objects that can hamper the movement during the automatic closing of the lead bar.
- Pay attention to non-visible objects that can obstruct the movement. The protection fuse will trigger in such cases.
Manual Operation:
The awning can be manually closed using the crank handle E provided with the awning.
Troubleshooting:
- If the awning does not operate as expected, check the connection and condition of the Microswitch and the fuses. Replace the fuse with an identical one if triggered (T 4A L 250V).
- Ensure there are no physical obstructions for the awning's movement.
- In case of persistent issues, contact the Service Centre for assistance.
Safety Instructions:
- Always disconnect the vehicle's battery when installing the motor.
- Do not operate the awning without the provided fuse.
- Keep hands and objects away from the awning's mechanical parts during operation.
Warranty:
Refer to the provided warranty documentation for details on coverage and claims.
Note: Always carry a spare fuse (T 4A L 250V) and consult the Service Centre for any operational issues or when in doubt about the installation or operation of the FIAMMA Motor Kit.
