Installation Instructions:

Preparation:

• Ensure the trailer wheels are blocked from moving.
• Support the draw bar securely.

Location:

Choose a suitable location on the draw bar, clear of any other equipment.

Mounting Plate:

• A mounting plate with a 58mm hole is required for the parking leg.
• This plate should be securely welded to the draw bar.

Electrical Grounding:

• The electric parking leg is internally grounded.
• Clean the underside of the mounting plate and the face of the plate on the trailer draw bar for good electrical contact.

Motor Head Alignment:

• Align the motor head so the motor housing faces the front of the trailer draw bar.
• Drill required holes and bolt securely.

Fuse Installation:

Install a 30amp fuse holder in the power wire, at the motor head or closer to the power source.

Wiring:

• Connect the grey positive wire from the park leg motor to the power feed from the positive side of the battery.
• Use no smaller than #10 gauge wire for any additional wiring.

Operation:

Activation:

Use the toggle switch under the motor housing to activate the park leg.

Extending the Leg:

• Hold the switch in the extend position.
• Release the toggle switch when the motor switches off to prevent damage.

Retracting the Leg:

• Hold the toggle switch in the retract position.
• Release the switch at the first indication of slowing down.

Note: If the motor stalls with the leg fully retracted and the toggle switch is not released, the motor will automatically switch off.

Manual Operation:

1. Disconnect the 30 amp Slow Blow Fuse.
2. Remove the plug cap in the access hole.
3. Use the crank handle in the access hole over the drive spindle tang to manually extend or retract.
4. After use, replace the crank handle, plug, and fuse.

Lubrication:

• Initially lubricated at the factory.
• Requires lubrication after 12 months under normal conditions.
• To lubricate, fully extend the leg, disconnect the fuse, and follow steps to access and repack gears and jack screw with lithium-based machine grease.

Safety Warning:

Ensure the front of the trailer is supported on blocks or connected to the towball before proceeding with any maintenance or operation.
