Product Overview
The Dometic NRX series includes models NRX1050, NRX1060, NRX1080, NRX1115, and NRX1130 (C/S), which are compressor refrigerators designed for use in caravans, motor homes, boats, and trucks. These models are intended for cooling and storing food, with specific models also suitable for storing pre-frozen food.
Safety Instructions
- Electrocution Hazard: Installation, removal, and repairs should only be performed by qualified personnel. Do not operate if visibly damaged. Replace damaged power cables immediately.
- Explosion Hazard: Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with propellants in the refrigerator.
- Health Hazard: Not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities unless supervised. Children aged 3 to 8 years can load and unload the refrigerator under supervision.
Operation
- Before first use, allow the refrigerator to air out for a few hours to eliminate any mild odor.
- The refrigerator door has a latching mechanism for transport protection. Ensure the door is properly closed and secured.
- Switch the refrigerator on by pressing and holding the ON/OFF button for at least 2 seconds. The last selected cooling level and operation mode will be activated.
- Various operation modes are available: ECO, QUIET, PERFORMANCE, FREEZER, and WINTER (only NRX1115–1130). Each mode has specific settings for energy consumption, noise level, and cooling performance.
- To set the cooling level, press the cooling level setting button until the desired level is reached.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Disconnect the refrigerator from the power supply before cleaning.
- Regularly clean the interior and exterior with a damp cloth. Ensure the condensate drain is not blocked.
- The refrigerant circuit is maintenance-free. Do not use mechanical devices to accelerate the defrosting process.
Troubleshooting
- If the refrigerator does not work, check the fuse in the DC cable, vehicle fuse, battery charge, and ensure the ignition is switched on.
- For poor cooling or unusual noises, ensure sufficient ventilation, check for ice buildup, and verify the temperature settings.
- Error indications are displayed through the error indicator LED flashing red. The number of flashes corresponds to specific errors, such as under or over voltage, excessive fan current, motor issues, and overheating of the electronics unit.
