Coast Picnic Table Installation Guide for Customer Service and Technical Staff

Overview

This document is designed to provide comprehensive guidance for customer service and technical staff who may need to assist customers with the installation, operation, and troubleshooting of the Coast Picnic Table. This guide includes technical specifications, installation steps, and important safety and operational information.

Pre-Installation Checklist

• Ensure the RV is parked on level ground, with all electrical and gas functions off, wheels secured, and jacks down.
• Confirm the suitability of the Coast Picnic Table for fibreglass and aluminium cladded RVs.
• Required tools: Cordless Drill, appropriate sealant, measuring tape, Philips-head or flat-head screwdriver, and optional masking tape.

Contents of the Package

• Picnic Table with pre-attached arms
• 2 Keys for locking
• Backing Plate (if M300-200 model purchased)
• 6 Cover Strips (if M300-200 model purchased)
• Note: Screws are not included due to varying RV wall thicknesses.

Installation Steps

Step 1: Tool and Site Preparation

• Verify all necessary tools are available.
• Choose a suitable installation site on the RV, ensuring it's level.

Step 2: Inspect Package Contents

Ensure all components are present.

Step 3: Mounting Location

• For aluminium clad RVs, use the parallel folds for alignment.
• For fibreglass RVs, measure to find the correct position.
• Dimensions needed: 805L x 435H (mm).

Step 4: Marking Drill Points

Position the mounting frame and mark the four outer holes.

Step 5: Drilling

Drill the marked holes, using safety goggles and a smaller drill bit than the screws.

Step 6: Attaching the Arms

Secure the arms with 4 screws, without over-tightening.

Step 7: Drilling Additional Holes

Drill the remaining 8 holes (4 on each arm) and then remove the Picnic Table.

Step 8: Sealing Holes

Apply sealant (V4 for aluminium clad RVs) to the drilled holes and the back of the bracket.

Step 9: Fixing the Arms

Secure the arms with stainless steel screws, ensuring not to over-tighten.

Step 10: Mounting the Backing Plate

If applicable, apply sealant to the back of the frame and attach it to the RV wall.

Step 11: Clipping the Frame

Align and clip the frame into place.

Step 12: Securing the Frame

Lightly screw the frame in place at the four corners.

Step 13: Final Fixing

Drill the smaller holes, avoiding the larger ones meant for cover strips, and secure with screws.

Step 14: Attaching Cover Strips

Cover all inner screws with the provided strips.

Optional: Additional Sealing

Apply a sealant bead for an airtight and watertight seal.

Important Notes

• The Picnic Table comes with two keys for locking.
• Weight capacity: 30Kg. Verify the RV wall can support this weight.
• Weight: 4.2Kg without backing plate, 4.7Kg with backing plate.
