The BMPRO BatteryCharge15 (BC15) and BatteryCharge25 (BC25) are advanced 12V battery chargers designed and manufactured in Melbourne, Australia, by Setec. These chargers are suitable for a wide range of battery types including AGM/Gel, Wet, Calcium, and LiFePO4 batteries. They feature a 7-stage charging process that enhances battery life and performance.
Safety Precautions
- Ensure good ventilation for both the battery and power supply.
- Avoid short circuits by not dropping metal objects on battery terminals.
- Disconnect personal metal items before handling batteries.
- Do not attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries.
- Keep the device dry and away from water or moisture.
- Use the device and cables as specified in this manual to avoid damage.
- Do not dismantle or modify the device. It contains no user-serviceable parts.

Battery Chemistry Selection
- AGM/GEL: Max voltage of 14.4V (AGM) or 14.2V (Gel).
- WET: Bulk and absorption at 14.6 volts, recondition up to 15.8 volts.
- Calcium: Bulk and absorption at 14.8 volts, equalisation and recondition up to 15.8 volts.
- LiFePO4: CV mode voltage of 14.6V, CC mode maximum current of 15A for BC15 / 25A for BC25.
- Power Supply: Constant voltage of 13.6 volts.
Adjustable Charge Rate
- 2 Amp: For motorcycle batteries between 5 and 20 Ampere-hours.
- 10 Amp: For car batteries between 35 and 120 Ampere-hours.
- 15/25 Amp: For 4WD/light truck batteries between 45 and 400 Ampere-hours.
7 Stages of Charge
- Desulphation: Breaks down lead-sulphate.
- Soft Charge: Gently introduces power.
- Bulk Charge: Delivers maximum current.
- Absorption: Reduces current to absorb more power.
- Analysis: Tests if the battery is fully charged.
- Recondition: Helps bring the battery to full charge if needed.
- Float: Maintains optimum charge without overcharging.
Charging Instructions
- Check Electrolyte Level: If applicable, ensure it's 6mm above the plates.
- Connect to 240V Mains Power.
- Select Battery Chemistry Type: Press the Battery Chemistry mode button to select.
- Set Charge Rate: Press the Charge Rate mode button to select.
- Connect to Battery: Attach RED clamp to Positive (+) and BLACK to Negative (-).
- Charging: Monitor the LED indicators for charge status.
- Disconnecting: Remove mains power, then disconnect the battery terminals.
Power Supply Mode
To activate, hold the Charge Rate selection button until the 3rd LED illuminates constant orange.
Limited to 10Amp output for BC15 and 20Amp for BC25.

- 5 Flash RED: Under Voltage - Battery.
