Operating Instructions for AL-KO Power Mover
The AL-KO Power Mover is designed to facilitate the movement of caravans or trailers, capable of handling small inclines. To ensure correct and safe usage, follow these steps:
Initial Setup:
- Engage the caravan/trailer park brake or chock the wheels on the downhill side to secure the vehicle.
- Attach the AL-KO Power Mover to the caravan/trailer drawbar.
- Lower the Power Mover until it reaches the painted line on the telescopic tube.
Directional Settings:
- The Power Mover is equipped with two directional pawls. To set the direction of movement, move both spring-loaded pawls in the desired direction of travel. This adjustment should be made before applying any force to the traction handle.
Movement:
- Fit or engage the Power Mover traction handle.
- Carefully release the caravan/trailer park brake.
- To move the caravan or trailer, raise and lower the traction handle in a controlled manner.

- Always ensure the Power Mover is lowered to the painted ring around the fork to prevent damage under heavy loads.
- Maintain tyre pressure at 40 lb/in² (276 Kpa) for optimal performance.
Emergency Procedure:
- In an emergency where immediate stopping is required, swiftly turn the handle of the AL-KO Power Mover at right angles to the direction of movement.
